Election outcomes next week will be key for determining which parties control the House and Senate and, in turn, committee chairmanships, which play a critical role in setting the policy agenda. Regardless of which party controls Congress, though, crypto appears poised to retain or add crypto allies on both sides of the aisle. Any pro-crypto successes, or anti-crypto failure, on election night, will likely be used to incentivize Members of Congress to support bipartisan crypto legislation next Congress. For the first time, pro-crypto political groups are spending record sums to support pro-candidates. In many cases, they are backing incumbents who supported bipartisan crypto legislation, even where challengers are also pro-crypto and regardless political affiliation.
